ValueClick, Inc. is the single-source provider of media, technology and related services that enable advertisers, agencies and publishers to reach consumers in all major online marketing channels. Marketing channels include display/Web advertising, search marketing, e-mail marketing and affiliate marketing.

VCLK is an Internet marketing play and a possible takeover target similar to Overture, bought out by Yahoo! in late 2003. ValueClick owns MediaPlex.com which is currently the 37th ranked site on the Web according to Alexa. MediaPlex.com provides online advertising, direct marketing and interactive marketing technologies.

The company already raised its forecast for 2005, quarterly profit for the most recent quarter doubled to $13.5 million. Revenue soared 80 percent to $54.4 million.

VCLK reported great earnings, but was held down due to a slump in the Internet sector as a whole. Sooner rather than later, Internet stocks will catch fire again, VCLK will receive its deserved price jump.
