Matrixx Initiatives, Inc. is the developer and distributor of the expanding line of Zicam products created by their wholly-owned subsidiary Zicam, LLC. Zicam cold products reduce the duration and severity of the common cold. Other products within the brand include sinus and allergy relief.

MTXX was at this same level this time last year before running to over $20 by early January 2004. We have reason to suspect that the stock will rise in a similar fashion due to its seasonal factors.

Q2 numbers were reported July 26th, as expected they were weak due to the seasonal nature of cough and cold products. However, net sales for the year are up over 37% compared to the same six-month period in 2003. Guidance from the company predicts a 30% increase in annual revenue and net income compared to 2003.

Distribution of Zicam products are up over 60% among the company's top retail accounts . On average, 11 Zicam products are being stocked at retail locations compared to 7 last year.

It looks as if the company built brand awareness last year and will continue to build loyalty this coming fall and winter with their new and traditional products.
