iBasis, Inc. is an international telecommunications carrier that utilizes the Internet to provide economical international telecommunications services. Its continuing operations consist of its voice-over Internet protocol (VoIP) business.

IBAS has been in a strong uptrend over the last year going from the $0.40 level to a high of $2.85 three months ago. IBAS has been bottoming at $2.00 since the beginning of the year and should start trending higher again in the near future. Strong accumulation has been taking place over the last two weeks.

The CEO, CFO, and an Executive Vice President at iBasis all purchased shares at this level in early February. Combined they purchased over $50,000 worth of IBAS.

Revenue for the most recent quarter was $75.1 million up from $53.2 million over the same period a year ago. Net loss was narrowed to $1.2 million. Looking forward the company expects profitability as they continue to grow their wholesale and retail VoIP business.

With a market cap of only $130 million, IBAS appears undervalued. IBAS will go up as they continue to accomplish their goals during 2005.
