Alanco Technologies, Inc. is a provider of advanced information technology solutions. It operates in two business segments: radio frequency identification (RFID) technology segment and computer data storage segment.

Alanco is focused on Radio Frequency Identification, RFID, an emerging area of tracking technologies. Alanco is taking advantage of the need to track prisoners and has received contracts from the Colorado Department of Corrections and a European prison pilot program.

ALAN is an opportunity to invest in the RFID industry for a cheap price. The company is trading at a market cap of only $14 million. The most recent quarterly report wasn't great and ALAN was punished down ten cents. ALAN recovered today taking back half its loss.
