If you are actively involved in share trading, chances are that you have seen the stock symbols used to denote particular stocks in any kind of news program that deals in stock trading. Better known as stock tickers, these symbols denote the sign of a particular stock and also give you its current price.
In the olden days, a stock ticker was a manual version that had printed stock information given to the investors in a thin strip of paper, also known as a ticker tape. With the changing times, this stock symbol has undergone change too and the stock ticker is available in an electronic version today.
