Pittsburgh, PA (SpeculatingStocks) - Everyone has played Angry Birds at least once, right? Maybe not everyone, but Rovio’s Angry Birds game is all over the place. It is on smart phones, social networks and other platforms. Rovio has the formula down with Angry Birds.
The word out there is that Rovio Entertainment could go public next year as stated by Rovio’s chief marketing officer.
Rovio is creating plush toys and baby products. They are even planning an Angry Bird movie and TV programming as well. A whole generation is beginning to be raised with Angry Birds.
Rovio has a great business going. The company is great at branding, marketing and creating addicting games.
There are doubters that say Rovio has only one big brand and that’s Angry Birds, but Disney started out with Mickey Mouse. Rovio’s revenue is thought to be north of $50 million. As for profit, the company has stated that they are “insanely profitable.”
A little known fact about Rovio is that they were almost bankrupt when they released Angry Birds, their 52nd title.
Next year, could be the year that we hear Angry Birds even more than we already have with their IPO now on the horizon.
