Pittsburgh, PA (SpeculatingStocks) - Initial public offerings (IPOs) are important to watch as they are newly public and most likely have some good runs ahead of them. They are freshly public and have the wind at their back with momentum of a public listing. At SpeculatingStocks, we track new IPO’s that come about.
ZLTQ (ZELTIQ Aesthetics, Inc.) – ZLTQ just IPO’d on the NASDAQ on October 19th. After its IPO day, ZLTQ has been trading in a tight range between around $15.25 - $16.00. This company has a medical product known as the CoolSculpting® System. This system selectively reduces stubborn fat bulges that may not respond to diet or exercise. ZLTQ raised $89.3 million from its IPO, so they are fairly cash rich right now.
ASBB (ASB Bancorp, Inc.) – ASBB went public on October 12th on the NASDAQ exchange. It’s range has been $11.30 - $11.98. The company is based in Asheville, NC and offers personal and business banking services.
UBNT (Ubiquiti Networks, Inc.) – UBNT is a mid-cap that went public on October 13th. UBNT’s CEO described Ubiquiti as “not a wireless hardware company although we make wireless products and most of our revenue comes from hardware.” You guessed it, he spent a few years at Apple. The IPO was priced at $15.00 a share and the stock is not trading at around $20 a share. UNBT is run by a young CEO and it will be very interesting to watch this one as it plays out. Investors are fond of this stock already.
