Pittsburgh, PA (SpeculatingStocks) -We all know that it would be good for the communications and Internet service market if a competitor would arise to Verizon and Comcast. Competition is a good thing.
Paetec is approximately an $800 million company that is focused on providing integrated broadband communications services to business and end-user customers primarily in the US. The company has approximately 54,000 business customers and was founded in 1998.
PAET has grown revenue the past four quarters from $408.4 million to $429.2 million to $495.5 million to $507.1 million in its most recent quarter. This is solid top line growth.
PAET has trended from around the $3.00 level in March of this year to now reach a 52-week high around $5.53.
PAET shares have significantly outperformed CMCSA and VZ shares since March. A big step for Paetec was the announcement that they will be acquired by Windstream Corp. (WIN). The combination of PAET and WIN could be quite a formidable communications technology company to rival Verizon and Comcast.
