Pittsburgh, PA (SpeculatingStocks) - LifeTime Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ:LCUT) is a national brand corporation which includes house-hold names like KitchenAid, Cuisinart, and Farberware. The firm enjoys a wide income from a variety of products, even-though they might cannibalize a portion of their sales on a competitive line of products from different brands.

Their business plan allows them to create market competition, while still benefiting from the purchase of either product. The firm also has a tight grip on its supply chain, as it is able to source its suppliers from China—reducing costs and increasing overall profitability.

Chairman of the Board and CEO Jeff Seigel has been with the company since December of 2000, and has provided the company with excellent management through the recent financial crash of 2008. Today, LCUT is trading at $11.95 per share (4:00 PM EDT, December 5th, 2011), leaving the market capitalization to a total of $148 million. An EPS of $1.56 per share and a P/E of 7.55 provide LCUT with relatively strong attributes to indicate its profitability.

MACD shows that the firm is recovering from a recent down trend in pricing. Should the MACD cross over the EMA from bellow it will signal a possible positive divergence and momentum of increased pricing. Both the RSI and the fast stochastic indicators do not lead to any relevant conclusions on the movement of the stock. LifeTime has also begun releasing small dividends this year, amounting to only 3 cents a quarter.

On the long term, that is a period of approximately a year’s time, the Elliot wave projection would show that this company is currently or has experienced a downward movement and will either continue for a short while or rebound shortly. Getting in when the price slips a little farther or when the rebound begins will ensure the maximum earnings potential and form a hedge against depreciation of the stock’s value.
