Pittsburgh, PA (SpeculatingStocks) - We have found three pharmaceutical companies who have had a great past month, producing over 10% in stock price appreciations.
Synageva BioPharma Corp. (NASDAQ:GEVA) is trading at $22.01 per share (1:00 PM EDT, December 16th, 2011) Today it took a nice solid gain of 9.99% placing it at a total monthly gain of 36.85%, which is a pretty payday. GEVA has a market capitalization of $384 million dollars and an EPS of $0.39 per share. It has shown steady gains since early September, except a short dip in November which quickly recovered.
Sucampo Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCMP) has a market capitalization of $174 million with a stock price at $4.17 per share. Interestingly it has a wide range of prices on a weekly basis. MACD and fast stochastics agree that the stock could have an upward momentum after recent trading days, and most recently the Bollinger Band’s began to pinch together during trading today. At $4.26 per share (1:00 PM EDT, December 16th, 2011) and a single day gain of 10.08% this stock could be one to add to your list.
Cornerstone Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:CRTX) has been trending down over the past few months but picked up a bit today with trading leaving it at $5.67 per share (1:00 PM EDT, December 16th, 2011). CRTX has an EPS of $0.23 per share and a market capitalization of around $146 million, and an additional bonus of a total debt to equity ratio of only 0.09 with a current ratio of 2.16. Cash per share even reaches as high as $3.16, with total debt coming only to about $167 thousand, the firm is exactly what it sounds like—a cornerstone of the sector—as stable as the bedrock its standing on.
